Rape culture and gendered violence
Toxic masculinity and the hetero-normative dominant culture in our institutions has created a "rape culture" environment leaving victims not believed when they report an attack. The #MeToo solidarity campaign has shown just how pervasive misogyny and gendered violence is at all levels of society.

Manchester rs21 sex work discussion
The last rs21 National Meeting agreed to open up a conversation in the organisation about sex work - for example, about sex work as work, whether it's like other kinds of labour, where sex workers' rights advocacy fits in anti-capitalist struggles, why sex work is so contested on the left and in the feminist movement, and what political movements and policies around sex work we should be supporting as socialists. In this discussion, we ask: what conflicts and contradictions exist in the conversation about sex work? what questions does sex work inspire in you, and how might we begin to answer them?
