Value, price and profit (and wages!)

2 August at 2:00 pm4:00 pm

Want to get your head around Marxist economics? Register via zoom for this group to read and discuss chapter 6 onwards in Marx’s Value, Price and Profit.
Register in advance via zoom to get the joining details.
This short pamphlet which was originally a speech given in 1865 in an argument with John Weston, an English workers’ representative on the General Council of the First International, who argued that workers generally increasing their wages didn’t improve our living standards and would harm industry – arguments we still hear today. It sets out many of the core concepts that Marx later used in Capital.
If you can, please read the text beforehand, but you are welcome to join even if you haven’t had time – we will read it together.
