- How has COVID affected the status of key workers, and has this changed or revealed where power lies?
- Is a permanent shift towards working from home likely?
- Will COVID accelerate the automation of some jobs (e.g. self-service)?
- How does home working affect how we are managed?
- How does working from home affect the length and intensity of the working day?
- How are workers’ mental health and general health and safety affected by this shift?
- Does working from home amplify the differences in people’s home circumstances (e.g. housing, families etc.)?
- What are the effects on workers’ caring responsibilities?
- Will remote working enable/promote offshoring of work from Britain?
- Will there be greater state involvement in work in terms of finance and regulation?
- Has the decline of some industries and growth of others been accelerated and where does this leave workers?
- Will people need to live closer to their work because of changes to transport?
