KTB: How to win despite a Tory majority?

6 May at 8:00 pm9:30 pm

The Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill is a threat to anyone who wants to stand up to the rich and powerful, as well as to Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities, sex workers, and other communities who are already targeted by the police.
The anti-protest aspects of the Bill were a response to XR and BLM, but an impressive movement has arisen to Kill The Bill with opposition from feminists, trade unions, civil liberties campaigners and lawyers, anti-racists, environmentalists, NGOs and more.
Though it’s clear that some Tory MPs would support watering down the Bill, the movement faces a challenge if we are to defeat it entirely – the large Tory majority in parliament.
What strategies might help us win? What can we learn from past struggles or those elsewhere in the world?
All welcome to join the discussion. Please register in advance via: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZEkduipqj0pGtD8x-QLRVAsLsrojj9rj62J
